As France prepares for the Champions League final against the Netherlands, the news that the country’s two biggest clubs have been linked with a deal for Juventus star Neymar is not surprising.
The Catalan giants, who are in the process of rebuilding their squad and are keen to bring in new faces, would probably be happy to receive a marquee player of Neymar’s quality.
However, this news will also be met with a degree of concern, as Neymar has been linked to clubs in Italy, Spain, Italy, Brazil and Russia.
Juventus is a major club in the Champions league, and the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Dani Alves and Sergio Ramos have all been linked.
With Barcelona already linked to Alves, a deal between the two would be unlikely to go through.
Neymar would make a great addition to any team.
However the news comes as a huge blow to the Bianconeri, who would surely welcome the opportunity to bring Neymar back to France.
The Spanish side is looking to add more attacking players and are looking to strengthen in the defence as well.
Neymer’s potential would bring huge firepower to the club, and would make it a nightmare for opponents to break down.
There are many teams who are interested in signing Neymar, but they would not have to spend a fortune.
Neymars value is currently around €150m, which is the equivalent of around £130m, but if he could land a deal at a cheaper price, he would be a huge signing for the Biancocelesti.
With Neymar already linked with Inter Milan and Juventus, there would also be interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid.
Ney is one of the best players in the world and would be one of those big-name stars that would be worth a lot to the Catalan giants.
Juventus would not be alone in their interest in Neymar if he joins.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Real Sociedad are also in the market for Neymar.
If Neymar were to join Juventus, he could bring in even more attacking options to the team.
If the Biancani are to make any changes, they would have to sign a new defender.
A new left-back could be one option, while another centre-back or striker could also be considered.
This is something that will have to be addressed at the Bernabeu.
Juventus has also shown interest in Tottenham’s Erik Lamela, with a fee believed to be around £12m, though a fee could be higher.
